Science 6-8th grade Week of Jan 9, 2017

The 6th grade is studying  more about the moon- how we know its size and distance to the Earth, what it is made of and what its surface features are like. Using the method of angular diameter we can estimate its diameter by comparing it to something that we already know the diameter of.

The 7th grade is finishing up their unit on Chemistry with group presentations. These include topics such as Reactions, Solutions, Plastics, Elements, and many others.

The 8th grade is finishing up their study of the brain by students presenting their findings on such fascinating topics as subliminal messages, hypnosis, dreams and ESP, to name just a few.
