8th grade Overnight!

Dear all,

We’re going on an overnight trip to explore more about FDR and the Progressive Era and to celebrate your time at BSI.  Woo-hoo!

We’ll be in touch soon with more details and wanted to share the news with you now.  We’ll also send along a chaperone sign up soon: all are welcome!

When:

Monday, May 22nd until Tuesday evening, May 23rd

Transport:

Academy Buses from BSI

(9 a.m. departure Monday, ~5:00 p.m. arrival at BSI on Tuesday.)

To:

Hyde Park, New York

What:

FDRs home and museum

Val Kill (Eleanor Roosevelt’s summer place)

Lodging:

Rocking Horse Ranch

Cost:               TBD*

* We truly hope that all the 8th graders can experience this time together. We’ve scheduled the trip at a time that fits well with the school calendar, and we don’t need anyone to come to school early on the day we leave (though we may return a bit later on Tuesday afternoon).

Because we hope everyone will be there, we want to remove every barrier possible, whether financial or other–so please get in touch if there’s a financial situation we should know about–or if there is any way we might be able to help to make this trip happen for your student.

It’s all for one and one for all, and we are sooooo excited!

yours,
Donna
