8th Grade Overnight May 22/23

Hello everyone,

The trip to Hyde Park will be $185 per student.  Checks payable to Brooklyn School of Inquiry can be sent to Chris in the main office by April 15th.  Remember: we *really* want everyone to participate in this trip, so if you need to speak with me privately about financial assistance, I am at my post.

Here’s a draft itinerary for the trip:

Monday, 5/22

Arrive at school regular time Monday 

Bring bag lunch and overnight bag (packing list to come)

8:35 am sharp Bus leaves BSI

12:15 pm arrival at FDR Home & Museum, Hyde Park, NY

4 pm Check in at Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, Highland, NY
6 pm Dinner at Rocking Horse Ranch

10 pm Lights out!

 

Tuesday, 5/23

8 am Breakfast at Rocking Horse

9-10 Free time at Rocking Horse

10:45 am Bus to Val-Kill, Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site

11 am-noon Tour Val-Kill

12-2 pm picnic lunch on grounds of Vanderbilt Mansion, Hyde park

2 pm Bus home

5 pm (approx) arrival at BSI

 

We will send out trip packets, permission slips, dietary restrictions and post trip dismissal option form closer to the date.  Hopefully, many of you can join us.
