Reasoning with Fractions
Wednesday, March 22, 2017 8:45-9:45 in Room 418
In 3rd grade, there are opportunities for students to name fractions, consider the size of the fraction, compare and order fractions, and generate equivalent fractions. In this workshop, we will explore ways that student develop conceptual knowledge about fractions and their relationship to division.
We will explore contexts and models that support students in developing a deep understanding of fractions. You will also take home activities you can use at home with your child. – Ms. Marcy
