SCIENCE 6,7 & 8th grade Week of April 3, 2017

As we get close to spring break, the 8th graders are finishing up their major study on Genetics. “GMO’s – good or bad?” will be the topic of an upcoming class debate. The students also took a trip to Rockefeller University where they worked with scientists in a lab conducting their own experiments on photosynthesis.

The 7th graders are continuing their exploration of Physics by learning how to create a variety of electrical circuits in different configurations. We are also studying the pros and cons of differing methods of generating electricity in the U.S.

The 6th graders are finishing up their work in Geology and a research project, constructing a model of a famous geological wonder and explaining it, will be due soon after the break.
