Protest Art: Beam Center Visit

Dear Families,

We met with our visiting artist from BEAM last week.  The students did an amazing job looking at artwork from current marches and protests.  The students looked at the imagery and learned how to read the images.  Then they drew some of their own!  The following week we will look at political cartoons and how artists can use imagery, respectfully to communicate something the feel deeply about.
