Grade 8 Humanities: Week of 6/19/2017 Dreams Really Do Come True!

Dear Families,

Just in case you haven’t been over to GPH yet, here is a sneak peek!

Grand Prospect Hall is a large Victorian banquet hall in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York. Local entrepreneur John Kolle built this ornate palace in 1892. Kolle hired a young architect, Ulrich J. Huberty, creator of Prospect Park’s renowned boathouse, tennis house, and Litchfield Villa. It is a four story building faced in buff-gray brick in the French Renaissance style. It features pressed metal decoration originally painted in imitation of limestone.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. (Wikipedia)
