Fine Arts Elective Club

Dear 7th and 8th grade Parents,

BSI established a Fine Arts elective program two years ago to aid students who chose to focus on applying to an Arts-focused High School. The goal of the class is to create a diverse body of work for a portfolio for admission. In addition, there is preparatory work for the High school drawing exam, and in some cases, written essay.

We are committed to supporting our Fine Arts Elective students and are happy to announce that we are creating a Fine Arts Club after school. There won’t be a fine arts elective during the school day.

8th-grade students will meet on Thursdays from 2:50 to 4:50 from September 28th through December 14th in order to fully compose their portfolios and practice for the HS admission exam. 7th grade Fine Arts focused students will meet on Wednesdays from 2:50 to 4:50 from September 27th through June 2018 to create a body of work for their portfolios. Please let us know if your student is interested in attending either of these clubs as soon as possible, by emailing me and Anna Moshura. I look very much forward to working with your children!

Best,
Ms. Nanna
