It’s my job…

To expose your children to quality mentor writers’, quality mentor texts and develop/nurture/foster complex thinking habits in books across genres (and for students to be able to name their thinking, make meaning instead of take meaning and talk about how books work more in depth) I hope you are having conversations about humanities class at home. I will be posting a blog with what we’ve been learning, vocabulary we’ve been using, open-ended questions that you can pose to your child and resources to extend our classroom experience into the heart of your home. Keep talking…keep learning! I ask that you only hold your child accountable to take responsibility, for their school work (independently) and to give them time and space to maintain a reading and writing life at home. Keep family-timing, too! Stay tuned…
