Science Grades 6-8 Week of 11/6/17

This week, as we are nearing the end of our weather unit, the 6th grade will be tracking the path of Hurricane Sandy and comparing it to other infamous storms. They will also be starting to work on their weather research project.

The 7th grade is beginning to study solubility and concentrations of solutions which will eventually lead us to experiment and find out how tiny a concentration is needed to taste a flavor or see a color when mixed among other chemicals.

The 8th grade is beginning our Human Anatomy unit. We are beginning by examining our skin, particularly our fingerprints, and noting all the different jobs that skin does for us in maintaining homeostasis (internal regulation).
