Science: Grades 6-8, Week of 11/20
As part of our investigation into the digestive system, the 8th graders are analyzing food for their nutrient content. We are using chemical analysis to see which juice contains more vitamin C. We are also looking at the glucose, starch and lipid content of a variety of foods.
The 7th graders are learning about acids/bases and the pH scale. They are testing a variety of antacid tablets to see which one is the best for your money.
The 6th graders are presenting their very creative and informative weather projects. The variety of projects and presentations have been wonderfully educational as well as entertaining!
