Our Families!

It was great meeting with each of you last night at Parent/Teacher Conferences. When all is said and done, what matters most is that we continue to work together to make sure our kids have the best possible kindergarten experience.  Your love and concern for your children is clear and talking with you about your child helps us to understand him/her even better. Thank you for all you do to support the work we do with your kids.  We appreciate it so much!

Social Studies

In Social Studies, our kindergarteners have been learning about all the different kinds of families.  Families can be large or small. They can look alike or not. There can be more than one mother or father in a family.  What really makes a family is LOVE!

We asked the children to think about what the different people in their families are ALWAYS doing.  When you come home, what is your mother always doing? Then they drew each member of their family doing that something that they always do.  We created family portraits featuring all of our family members. Can you figure out what each one is doing? If not, ask your child to tell you.
