Science Grades: 6-8, Week of 5/14/18

Now that the 8th grade is finished with the Living Environments curriculum study, we are beginning to prepare for the Regents exam. Each student has chosen a review topic to present to the class, which will cover the year’s work in a short period of time. Thus begins class presentations!

The 7th grade is also beginning to wind up our unit on Nuclear Power. This week we will finish the unit by discussing whether or not nuclear power is a good choice to use for our electrical needs. Students are also making presentations.

The 6th grade will be investigating the different kinds of volcanic eruptions and compare it to what is happening, currently, in Hawaii. Then we will move on to how the land weather and erodes.
