Art Residency- Capoeira
This week, the third grade classes are beginning a music and dance residency. Each Tuesday for the rest of the year, we will be joined by Capoeira instructors. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art form that fuses dance, music, self-defense and acrobatics. It is energetic and joyful and exposes children to a new language, music, movement and culture. This group has a creative approach to instruction and encourages discipline, focus, and respect. The program will immerse students in Brazilian music, language, and culture. We are looking forward to a six week session with our instructors!
