Upcoming Events and Some Quick Reminders

Bowling with our Buddies: Yesterday we had a lot of fun bowling with our buddies. I hope you all got to see the amazing photos that Tricia Ragone took; she really captured some special moments! Thank you so much to Danielle, Emily, Amanda, Frank, Tricia, Dan, Kubi, Willow, and Ella for coming along to chaperone. (This class is the best one I’ve ever had for parent chaperones. You guys rock!)

China Projects: Proposals for the students’ China Projects went home last Thursday and were due yesterday.  They need to be discussed with and signed by parents, which all the children know, so if you haven’t yet seen your child’s, please ask him or her about it. Materials for the projects need to be brought into school by Friday (or Tuesday at the latest), so that we can start Project Time next week. Remember, all materials need to fit in a smallish bag or box for storage. We have to store 31 sets of materials and projects in progress, and our room is not particularly big, so if we can stack up boxes, that would really help. Our Share for the projects will be Wednesday, June 20th, so save the date! (Time to be determined, but it will probably be at 9:00 or so.)

This coming week is Spirit Week! Tuesday, Patriotic Day (wear stars and/or red, white and/or blue). Wednesday, wear purple for the Seth Low Walkathon. Thursday will be Sports Day (team apparel or sports gear) and Friday will be my personal favorite: Crazy Socks Day. Mark your calendar now, so your child can have the fun of participating!

And of course, tomorrow night is Family Fun Night! Last year we focused on math games, but this year we’re expanding to include some arts, literacy, and science activities as well. Everyone is welcome, including siblings. I hope to see many of you there! (4:30 – 7:00)

Enjoy the long weekend!
