Science: Grades 6-8, Week of 5/28/18

With only 2 weeks to go before the Regents exam, the 8th grade is continuing their review by means of student presentations, practice exams and helpful hints via the internet.

This week the 7th grade is discussing the role of “peer pressure” as a major reason as to why teenagers start to smoke or drink alcohol. Scenarios will be acted out to come up with ideas that can help someone deal this type of situation.

The 6th grade is studying about how geologists can figure out what the Earth was like way back in the past. Fossil ,and other evidence, can help determine how life evolved on our planet.
