Project Time!

302 is busy at work on their individual China Projects!  Last week, we spent some time planning the steps each child would need to take until reaching completion. It is an important skill for 3rd graders to work on a long-term project, and move through the stages of brainstorming, project idea selection, planning, and executing. It is important that children create short-term, attainable goals so that their projects can be completed  in 5-6 Project Time sessions.  The deadline for these in-class projects is June 18th. We will be using a rubric  to grade each child’s project. China Project Rubric 2018

Here are some pictures of students in various stages of their projects:

Also, we just completed our third Copeira class with our instructor, Mestre Foca! Copeira requires balance, attention to directions and focus. Students have been learning individual movements and then coordinating these movements with a partner. Ask your child about “Jinga!”
