Science: Grade 6-8, Week of 3/18/19
The 6th grade, now starting a new unit on Geology, will investigate the properties of minerals and begin working on their mineral research report.
The 7th grade will be finishing up their unit on Electricity, by looking at the invention of the radio, and will be taking an exam by the end of the week.
The 8th grade, too, will be finishing up a unit, on Genetics this week. We will be discussing the contributions of Rosalind Franklin, James Watson & Francis Crick. We will also be discussing genetic engineering and the controversy that surrounds it.
