Grade 7 Humanities: Portfolios and Thank You

Dear Families,

The 7th grade Humanities portfolios have been stored in Mr. Havlik’s office for the summer and will be distributed to your 8th grader in the fall if they are applying to a school for which they need to submit a sample of their work. Currently, the only high school requesting a sample assignment is Beacon. Please visit this link for more information about Beacon’s admissions process:

Additionally, you should check the websites for all of the high schools you are interested in applying to, as the application requirements can vary from year to year.

When you receive your portfolio, if there is a writing piece you have in mind, but you do not find a copy of it in the folder, I will be happy to re-print the work and re-create the comments from Google Drive (not every writing assignment was printed this year in the interest of being environmentally aware). An early assignment from 8th grade can also be used if there is one that shows exemplary work.
