HS Offers Update as of 4/9/21

General Timeline:

  • By the end of April: Results from the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) will be released by the end of April 2021. Like in previous years, students who took the SHSAT can get up to one offer from among the eight testing Specialized High Schools. Getting an offer to one of the eight testing Specialized High Schools is not a guarantee, and is based on the students testing score.
  • Later in the spring: results from the high school application and from LaGuardia High School auditions will be released later in the spring, after results from the SHSAT are released.
    • Students can get up to one offer from among the programs listed on their high school application, and students who auditioned for LaGuardia High School can get up to one offer to each program they auditioned for.
  • Waitlists will open after results from the high school application are released in late spring. Every high school program will have a waitlist, except the nine Specialized High Schools. Like last year, the nine Specialized High Schools will not have waitlists.
