Grade 6, Math, Week of 12/19/16
BSI is partnering with the BEAM Center to bring a visual understanding of 3D geometry to our students. Students are creating a model skyscraper of their own design and using an understanding a sum interior angles, volume, and surface area to do it!
Today, students are traveling to the Skyscraper Museum for a tour of their gallery in order to inspire and learn more about skyscrapers before beginning our work.
David, our resident artist, from Beam will be at BSI on Mondays and Wednesdays starting this Wednesday to kick off the skyscraper project. There will be more to come about this in the following weeks.
