Science: Grades 6-8, Week of Nov. 27
After a number of review classes, the 6th grade will be taking their final exam in Meteorology this week. Right after, we will begin with our second unit of the year, Astronomy. We will begin by talking about what ancient people saw in the sky.
The 7th grade is continuing to experiment in Chemistry. This week we will take note of the differences in the behavior of liquids – in particular, oil and water. Our experiments and observations will lead us to make some interesting ideas about how molecules behave.
Finally, the 8th grade is deep into the Digestive System and discovering what each organ’s function is, as food is broken down into its end products. Specifically, we will focus on the role of enzymes and how they work.
