Science – Grades 6-8 Week of 2/26/18

This week the 8th grade will investigate Gregor Mendel’s “Laws of Inheritance” to find out how certain traits are passed on from one generation to the next. We will simulate some of his experiments and see if we get the same results as he did.

The 7th grade is continuing their study of current electricity. We will be focusing on different kinds of circuits and seeing how inventive the students are by asking them to create a gadget or gizmo of their choice.

The 6th grade is nearing the end of our astronomy unit. 601 will be taking a trip to the NYC Center for Aeronautics to simulate a mission to Mars. (602 has already been on their simulated mission to rendezvous with a comet).
