Students independently (Learning Report on a Latin American Country of choice) and collaboratively (Group Research Project) researched Latin American Regions (using trade books, thematic Latin American region maps and student-friendly websites) to learn about the Advantages and Disadvantages of life in their Latin American region. They formed questions, researched and created posters to present to others’. They used our Forever Factors (Geography, Climate, Culture, Politics/Economics, Science/Technology to guide their research discussions as they explored advantages and disadvantages of life in their specific region.)

(We only spent a short time on Latin American Geography since we’ll spend more time on our current inquiry into Mesoamerica and the Maya Civilization.)
