It was so nice to see many of you at our winter celebration yesterday. Everyone enjoyed the fun crafts we participated in and all the yummy treats. A huge thank you to class parents for organizing an awesome celebration and to everyone who contributed in any way!
I hope everyone has a safe and happy winter break. Below are a few activities for you to do with your child. These activities reinforce skills and ideas your child is learning in school.
Here is a math game where students practice comparing and adding numbers.
Here is link to many different activities to help your child practice reading and writing CVC words (consonant, vowel, consonant.) You do not have to do all these activities at one time but save it as a resource to return to again and again as you work with your child throughout the year.
I am looking forward to seeing you all in the new year.
All the best,
K-001 Presents The Three Billy Goats Gruff!
Well, you saw the rehearsal! Today, we actually had our first kindergarten play! We acted out the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We had a bridge. We had trolls. We had baby billy goats and middle sized billy goats and yes, we even had BIG billy goats! We rehearsed all week and the kids made their own costumes, horns for the goats and crazy paper hair for the trolls. Our actors were awesome!! Class K-002 and Mr. Havlik came to watch our performance. We also really enjoyed watching K-002’s performance of Caps for Sale! Ask your child about what it was like to be in a play and be part of the audience. Here are some pictures from our show:
