Welcome Back!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you’ve had a great break. We are going to hit the ground running when we get back on Wednesday. Here are somethings to look out for coming up.

Writing:

• We will finish our realistic fiction unit an pick a date for publishing.
• Most students are done revising and are working on editing.
• We are going to be doing a bit of reviewing if writing skill we learned over the first four months.

Math:

• We will continue our work with division, particularly on which strategies are best to use for different kinds of problems.
• Our work will also touch on algebra.

Reading:

• We will be reading even more current events articles and learning about the best ways to respond to the information that was presented.
• We will start a new read aloud next Monday… stay tuned for more information.
• I’ve purchased a bunch of new books for our library so hopefully our kids can’t wait to have independent reading.

Social Studies:

• We will be starting our new unit on Revolutionary America very soon. This is an amazing unit, I can’t wait to start it. Stay tuned…
