Gr5 Mark your calendars – Important dates!

Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Here are some important upcoming school dates. Please mark your calendars and we hope to see you at one or all of the events!

  • Wednesday, Jan. 9th – Class-wide Maya Roles Performances (Humanities Classroom 4th floor, room 433)

501 @ 8:40-9:25

502 @ 9:30 – 10:15

  • Wednesday, Jan. 23rd – Grade-wide Personal and Pure Essay Share in the Campus Library (3rd floor, 9:00 – 10:00 am) ALL Grade 5 Families are invited.

 

  • Monday, Jan. 21st – MLK Jr. Day Schools Closed

 

  • Friday, Feb. 8th Family Friday morning @BSI for ALL K-8 Families.

 

Also, Band Forms were sent home via backpacks this week (hard copy) and shared by Ms. Anna (electronically). If your child is interested in the after school band program, please submit the form asap. Here is a link to the letter:  Band Letter Home 2018_19 (1)

Also, there was a loud speaker announcement made by a couple of student school representatives about a NO PLACE FOR HATE Student School Diversity Committee forming. The application is open to students in Grades 5-8. If your child is interested in applying to join this committee he/she should fill out the form that was shared with his/her BSI google drive account. We believe in the power of student voice and choice. We believe that diversity brings unity. We believe that communication builds connection and understanding. We believe in the power of collaboration and community! In Ms. Ferguson’s words: One Tribe!
