Just Say Hi – Inclusion

Just about two weeks ago we participated in a “Just Say Hi” event to continue to reinforce the core values that this school was built on and what we have been focusing on all throughout the year; creating an inclusive school community where all students always feel safe, understood and accepted.
We have and will continue to strengthen our community by promoting unity and respect for all in order to reduce bullying, name-calling and other expressions of bias. No Place for Hate is not just a phrase or an initiative but an important part of our culture and who we are. Growing into a responsible, empathetic and accepting adult takes years, countless mistakes and a myriad of caring adults. We as a school treat undesirable behavior when one engages in such, as a teachable moment and a learning opportunity with logical consequences and disciplinary actions. We celebrate, name and notice the growth and positive social interactions of all of our students whether big or small.
